2. Single mothers/fathers who are struggling to make ends meet.
3. Special needs residents in the community.
4. Families who have experienced the loss of a loved one due to illness or suicide.
5. People dealing with mental health issues, such as depression and thoughts of suicide.
6. Heart patients, cancer patients or anyone who may require medical attention.
7. Grandparents or individuals who have been isolated and lack financial means for bills or to pamper themselves.
8. Anyone facing illnesses or hardships who have not had access to essential services like salons, spas, doctors, therapists, barbers, or assistance with bills and clothing.
9.Anyone struggling with substance abuse who is serious about taking steps to get clean and turn their lives around.
10. We are diligently working to create awareness and Help fight Human Trafficking. Our efforts for this cause make a difference in so many ways.
11. We are Americans who PROUDLY support our armed forces. We have a department that works with vets and their families to help when they are in need. We have a heart to help in every way listed above.
12. YouShine has a literacy program that helps those in need read and gain education. We have a department that makes Tiny Libraries for parks and communities for those who want to read to take a book and give a book in its place. If a book isn’t replaced by the person who takes it, we will replace it.
At YouShine, we believe that everyone deserves a second chance. We feel that Everyone is an Overcomer with a great comeback story. Everyone needs the opportunity to feel loved, pampered, and worthy. That's why we organize special events where participants are provided with various services, including:
1. Feeding: We ensure that all participants are provided with a nutritious meal the day of events and assistance with food even if the person in need can’t get to an event
2. Massages: Participants can enjoy relaxing massages to relieve stress and tension on event day.
3. Hair treatments: We offer highlights, color, haircuts for men and women on event day. Also funding for wigs for patients that have lost their hair.
4. Facials: Participants can indulge in rejuvenating facials to enhance their skin on event day.
5. Make-up: Our team of professionals provides make-up services for the ladies to enhance participants' natural beauty on event day. Along with new undergarments such as bras and underwear.
6. Before and after photos: Participants have the opportunity to capture their transformation with a professional photoshoot on event day.
7. A chance to sign up for counseling services with a licensed counselor.
8. A meeting with financial advisor.
9. Meeting with a professional that can help get credit back on track.
10. Help finding employment. 11. Assistance in finding a place to call home or to stay during transition of finding a home.

15. Transportation assistance 16. Assistance with medical services and mobile mammogram services for women.
17. Attorney assistance for legal issues
18. Classes on how to start new businesses or getting prepared for employment. In addition to these services, we also provide assistance with other essential needs.
YouShine events: Each participant on any event day will leave with a basket valued up to $200, filled with products and gift cards, so they can continue to feel pampered and cared for. We also encourage participants who have benefited from past make-over events to volunteer and help with upcoming YouShine events.
YouShine has collaborated with other foundations, different churches and businesses to make this a part of their outreach program as well. There are several ways you can support YouShine and make a difference: 1. Donations: We accept donations for gift baskets that are given to participants to take home. These donations can include personal care products, gift cards, and other items that would be beneficial to those in need. 2. Restaurant owners: We are in need of food donations to feed the participants and volunteers during our events. 3. Monetary donations: If you feel led to donate funds to support our cause, whether it's for supplies or to cover expenses, we greatly appreciate your contribution.
